What are some stories in the Bible that teach "choose right over wrong" ? read?
Q. for 5 year olds... what are some verses or stories in the Bible that would be good to use with 5 year olds to teach " choose right over wrong". They have asked us to use Peter denying Christ 3 times, but we think that is a bit harsh for 5 year olds. any good ideas from Bible verses ?

A. Jonah, Elijah and the prophets of Baal (fun one to do with a demonstration- we did this at VBS this year), David and Goliath (fun songs that go with that one...). If you need any info on demonstrations or songs, just ask. I would be more than happy to help :) God Bless!

What's so wrong with saying "I don't know"? Why do people have to make up stories to fill gaps of knowledge?
Q.
Asked by ZIPMAC - Mon Mar 16 17:00:24 2009 - Religion & Spirituality - 28 Answers - Comments

A. Just because you don't know some things, does not mean that others have not found an answer that they consider relevant. Perhaps, you may realize that you may not be the only source of information. Other people might have insight you do not have. Perhaps they are not "making up stories" at all, but simply sharing truth you have not yet found.

Can someone help me find the meaning of this quote, " Whosoever does wrong, wrongs himself"?
Q. I don't know but I think it means like what goes around comes around. So what do you think?
Asked by - Mon Mar 15 17:04:06 2010 - Quotations - 6 Answers - Comments

A. Kind of.I think it means that when you do wrong, you are not only hurting someone else but yourself, too. You are making your subconscious feel guilty and someone that you hurt will remember that you hurt them and that may also hurt you later.

Is it "abuse" to post an obviously false confession, for humor value?
Q. Some things are borderline, but someone claimed to have killed a baby and asked how to sue the baby's parents (at ). Is that a violation of the community guidelines? Should I click on "report abuse"?
Asked by StephenWeinstein - Fri May 21 15:26:49 2010 - Yahoo! Answers - 3 Answers - Comments

A. Well, that question is an obvious "troll" (see link, below), so, yes, you can click the "Report Abuse" button to report it if you wish. Sadly, there are SO many trolling questions on here that if you reported all of them that would take up ALL of your time on here, so, although I used to report them in the past, I don't even bother any more, there's just too many of 'em. Good luck!...

What does this quote mean " Whosoever does wrong, wrongs himself" ?
Q.
Asked by Lauren P - Sun Apr 10 16:12:49 2011 - Quotations - 4 Answers - Comments

A. It's basically saying that when you do something wrong, it doesn't just affect others like you think it would. It also affects you in mysterious ways. No matter what, Karma always gets ya(: and if you do something wrong, in some cases, if it's really bad and you don't fix it, the guilt builds up inside you, so really, it affects you. Hope I helped! =]

How come there isn't a "Humor" category?
Q. I see jokes and riddles, but that isn't really all there is to humor. Stuff like favorite comedians, tv comedies, funny personal experiences and stories really don't need to be drowned out in another category where everyone is talking about how sad their life is, or how angry they are. Why doesn't Yahoo answers give us a lighter side to hang out at?
Asked by Talsier - Thu Mar 18 13:21:49 2010 - Jokes & Riddles - 1 Answers - Comments

A. It might be interesting to run a trial of a couple of weeks and then at the end of that period a panel could exclude all those which could not be placed in "Jokes and Riddles". It would be interesting to see what was left.

What article talked about different adaptations of "The Office" in re: the varied cultural humor for each?
Q. A few years ago there was an article that talked about the international phenomenon of the show "The Office" but talked about how the adaptations of each are very different from each other because of the way humor varies in each country. The article compared the US and UK versions as well as the German version, the Canadian version as well as some others. I can't find this article anywhere, though - does anyone know what I'm talking about, and if so, can you link me?

Is it not insulting and wrong to teach children the bible in schools and tell them it is "all true"?
Q. What I mean is, a teacher wouldn't tell a class a story like Rumplestilskin and attempt to pass it off as fact, so why is it considered acceptable to do so with bible stories, eg. Noah's Ark?
Asked by Dreaming is Free - Mon Jun 1 16:02:02 2009 - Religion & Spirituality - 17 Answers - Comments

A. It should be taught as it's another religion and most religions should be dicsussed, but it should NOT be taught as fact. There is no proof it's real, sorry but there just isn't solid proof. There are kids of Many other religions in the class (mixed schools) so it's not fair on them.

What happens if I enter the wrong "date incurred" for a debt when filing bankruptcy?
Q. I am trying to file bankrupcty without an attourney because quite frankly if I had $1000.00 or more extra dollars laying around to pay a lawyer I wouldn't be filing. Anyway, there are places on the forms where you have to list the "date incurred" for each debt you are including. Some of these debts are very old and I can not remember when I incurred them. Some of them are credit cards and are several charges incurred over a period of time on one account. I am worried that if I enter a wrong "date" it will some how effect the discharge of that debt. For instance if I entered 2004 for a debt actually incurred in 2003, would any amount owed prior to the date I entered (2004) be excluded or would the debt be excluded… [cont.]
Asked by rose - Fri May 18 03:42:01 2007 - Credit - 1 Answers - Comments

A. You can get a copy of your credit report. Your credit report will list the date the account was opened. This is what most people do when filing BK. Your credit report will only cost a few bucks. The listing of a wrong date would probably have no effect on your BK filing. A BK filing normally covers all debts, even those you may unintentionally omit from the paperwork. Some of my accounts had missing information on the credit report listing and my attorney told me to put down my best guess for these accounts. Good Luck

What is the "wrong way" to use a shock collar?
Q. I'm at the end of my rope and am thinking of getting a shock collar to put on my dog because he enjoys to bark at the peak of morning, and at our neighbor's jack russel and other things. I'm at the end of my rope now. I've done everything possible and I don't know what to do anymore. If I use it for when he barks over and over again, is that the "wrong way" to use one?

How do you indicate that the "best answer" to your question is wrong?
Q. I asked a question, two people responded, both wrong. Yet someone (or more) voted for the worst answer as the best answer, and now my question has been marked "resolved." What can I do about this? Is there no way to add my own feedback to the bad answers, to guide further answerers toward a more useful answer?
